• TIPS FOR THE BUYER

As members of the Multi-List System, we can show you any home that is available regardles of whose sign is in the yard, the web site you visited or the newspaper ad you saw.  One of our Associates will be happy to arrange for you to visit any home you think is right for you.

As Realtors, we can eliminate those properties that don't meet you needs, budget, or location needs.  We can save you hours of frustration by making the most of your valuable time and arranging schedules to see homes that are convenient for you.

Here are some things you will want to remember when looking:

  • Be realistic.  Check with your lender to see what price home you qualify for.  That will prevent "underbuying" or the disappontment of a home that is beyond your means.
  • Think about all the features that are a "must have" before you being the search.  We can pre-screen homes to help you avoid wasting time looking at those that are not a good fit.
  • A little paint, soap and elbow grease often present a good opportunity for the buyer.  Homes that are otherwise just alike can be priced very differently when one only needs some paint and cosmetic work.
  • Ask us about the various assistance programs for down-payment assistance.  Family can also contribute to your purchase by way of a Gift Note.
  • Price your offer correctly.  Sometimes a Buyer will lose a home to a better offer and we do not want you to be disappointed.
  • There are several steps to reaching a binding contract for sale.  When your offer is presented to the Seller, he/she may accept it or make a counter offer.  When the Seller accepts your offer and you accept his/hers - VOILA! - you have a contract and are on your way to ownership of your new home.
