CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BIG DECISION TO SELL!

As you know, selling your home is a complicated task and we will be there to help every step of the way.

Here are some tips we share with our Sellers that have been found to help you put your home in the best possible position to sell faster:
  • FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE IMPORTANT.  Make sure your front entrance is clean and inviting, lawns mowed, dead leaves picked up and sidewalks/driveways swept.  A small investment in paint will make your home look fresh and return more in selling price.  You may also want to consider cleaning carpets or sprucing up hard floor surfaces.

  • PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL.  Minor flaws detract from your home's value.  Fix loose knobs, torn screens, dripping faucets, etc.  Pay special attention t odors from pets or cooking.  Avoid heavily scented candles or oils as some people have allergic reactions to them.  Go for light, fresh and clean.

  • BRIGHT AND SPARKLING.  Make sure your kitchen and bathrooms sparkle.  Remove clutter from counters, keep sinks clear of dishes and clean out crowded closets.  Box up things in the garage and storage buildings to show off maximum space.  Create a warm, friendly atmosphere with lots of light and clean, shiny surfaces.

  • GET AN EARLY START.  Keep personal photos and knick-knacks to a minimum.  Your personal treasures are what make the house your home but we want to make the prospective buyers to picture themselves living there.  Items that will have to be packed when your home is sold should be boxed up now so that will not be a distriction.  Always place valuables safely out of sight.
Selling your home is a team effort and our Sales Associates will work as a member of your team to make this a pleasant experience for you and your family.
